2025 All-Star Game

The 2025 MLB All-Star Game… was a week ago. I usually like to take stock of which astrologcial signs are best represented in the Midsummer Classic BEFORE the actual game, but this year, it has to be retroactive. And let me just say: the All-Star appearances don’t match up to the best-performing overall signs at the break.

This list only takes into account players who actually appeared in the game, which means it’s missing players who missed the festivities due to injuries. So with that limitation in mind, Pisces had a narrow lead with nine All-Stars. The only starter was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1,181 fantasy points so far / 12.6 points-per-game), first baseman of the AL East-leading Blue Jays. However, the highest fantasy point-scorer at this point is Kyle Schwarber (1,536 / 16.0), designated hitter for the Phillies, who are first place in the NATIONAL League East.

The thing is, Pisces as a group has scored just the sixth-most fantasy points, at exactly the halfway point in this 12-team fantasy league. That’s also good for the midoint of the Water Division, right between Scorpio (the league leader) and Cancer (8th place). Sagittarius, who is next with eight All-Stars, is fourth in the league, but at least they ended the first half on top in the Fire Division, ahead of Aries (7th) and well-ahead of Leo (11th).

The thing is, Sadge had four members of the All-Star starting lineups: the most of any sign. Their top-scorer is Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (1,749 / 18.6), one of the most dynamic players in the game, and not just because of his catchy nickname. No, it’s because the Big Dumper is hitting home runs at such a prodigious rate, that he might actually approach the single season American League record.

Eventually I’ll photoshop this to change Mariner blue into Sagittarius purple.

The Archers lineup is absolutely stacked, with centerfielder Byron Buxton (1,408 / 18.0), first baseman Pete Alonso (1,392 / 14.4), and the now-healthy Ronald Acuna Jr. (755 / 16.8) joining combeack player of the decade Javier Baez (784 / 9.9). El Mago’s stats may not look like much, but it means everything for this sign to field a competitive player at shortstop, let alone an All-Star.

There’s a tie for third as far as All-Stars, between Aries (7th place, to match their seven All-Stars) and Capricorn, who is neck and neck with Virgo for the lead in the Earth Division. But it’s worth mentioning Scorpio and Gemini, the sign of the AL and NL’s starting pitchers, respectively. Tarik Skubal (1,729 / 91.0) is also the defending American League Cy Young Award winner, and has led Detroit to the highest win total in the junior circuit so far. Paul Skenes (1,378 / 68.9) on the other hand, pitches for a last-place Pirates club, and is stuck on such a deep Gemini starting staff, that he doesn’t even make the top five!
