Astrology NBA Final Four 2025

I know this is a blog about Astrology Baseball, and I know that the MLB season is in full swing, and I know I haven’t written about baseball in a while… but it’s also the NBA Final Four, and basketball players have astrological signs too. So as a way to jump back into (hopefully) regular posting, let’s take a look at the top signs in basketball, through the lens of which teams are left in the playoffs.

Once again, Pisces has a stranglehold on the world of men’s professional basketball, so it makes sense that both Eastern Conference finalists are led by Pisces players. For the Indiana Pacers, it’s point guard Tyrese Haliburton (3,059 fantasy points, 41.9 points-per-game), who also played 22% of his 2024-25 minutes at shooting guard (according to hoops reference dot com’s Play-By-Play feature). The Pisces starter on the New York Knicks is Josh Hart (3,040.5 / 39.5), who split his time between shooting guard and small forward – a hybrid position apparently known as a “wing.”

Looking at the Pisces lineup, the presence of Steph Curry (2,733 / 39.0) at PG means that Halliburton and Hart would have to shift to their secondary positions of SG and SF, respectively. (Although if Luka Doncic (2,515.5 / 50.3) had played a full season, he would have easily out-scored Curry and slotted in at the one.) Since the incomparable Nikola Jokic (4,662 / 66.6) is entrenched at center, that leaves Jayson Tatum (3,321 / 46.1) to battle it out with Anthony Davis (2,514.5 / 49.3) for the power forward spot… and no place for backup center Ivica Zubac (3,263.5 / 40.8).

Going back to the real-life Eastern Conference, both finalists had a pair of sign-mates in their starting lineups. Starting with New York, they had Virgos Jalen Brunson (2,539 / 39.1) and Mikal Bridges (2,290 / 27.9) at point guard and small forward, respectively. Brunson would unfortunately have to ride the Virgo bench, given their loaded back court of Trae Young (3,382.5 / 44.5) and James Harden (3,496.5 / 44.3). However Bridges is actually VIR’s highest fantasy-scoring forward, joining Franz Wagner (2,280 / 38.0) in the front court.

Indiana, on the other hand, have a tandem of Aries bigs: combo forward Pascal Siakam (2,718.5 / 34.9) and center Myles Turner (2,156 / 29.9) – not to mention backup point guard T.J. McConnell (1,692.5 / 21.4). The top of the Aries lineup is a good way to transition to the Western Conference, since 3-1 favorite Oklahoma City has the versatile Jalen Williams (2,629.5 / 38.1) playing all over the court. In order to maximize ARE’s full season fantasy points, I slotted Williams at the one position, based on the 11% of his minutes he spent at shooting guard… but a) I did hear that point forward is a viable positional hybrid, and b) a guard is a guard is a guard, right?

Shifting to the Thunder’s opponents, the Minnesota Timberwolves have two Libras in their starting five, although point guard Mike Conley (1,501 / 21.1) and Jaden McDaniels (2,154 / 26.3) were not the team’s strongest contributors. That honor goes to Leo wing Anthony Edwards (3,149.5 / 39.9), which means that Minnesota has representatives from the leaders of both the Fire and Air Divisions.
